Kris de Laine, one of our newest Northern Beaches members was delighted with the thoughtful and lovely surprise awaiting her at home after completing the November Rescue and Care Course. Her 11-year-old daughter Milly had drawn a banner welcoming the newest Sydney Wildlife Rescuer home. Milly is clearly proud of her mother’s achievement and will no doubt be a big help gathering foliage, preparing food and cleaning equipment. Our children learn husbandry practices from us and keep us on our toes if we look like cutting corners during the busier seasons. They are the future of Sydney’s wildlife. Look at the detail in this work! I suspect we’ll have more than animal rescue and care for you to do at Sydney Wildlife Rescue if you follow in Kris’ footsteps.
